We experienced a "microburst", very much like a tornado, with 90 mph winds and massive damage to the foliage and trees. Fortunately, the tree outside my studio fell in the opposite direction. Underneath the tree we found a crushed sparrow. The birds were not making their regular raucous arousal at dawn the next morning. But a few days later we noticed the birds were back.
